Notes:

1.   Income Grant of £2,000.00 was given by Cotswold District Council to help towards the cost of installing interactive speed signs at three entrances to the village.
2. (a) £4,707.10 had been collected by the Parish Council from residents who wished to contribute to the repair of the War Memorial which had been vandalised.
  (b) £1,000 prize money award from Gloucestershire Rural Community Council for winning the Calor Gas Village of the Year competition.
  (c) £1,000 donation from the South Cerney Trust in recognition of recent awards.
  (d) £90 from Ms Helen Dorling, South Cerney Riding Stables towards youth activities.
3.   The Parish Council accepted the new salary award agreed nationally between NALC (National Association of Local Councils) and SLCC (Society of Local Council Clerks).
4.   Parish Councillors are now allowed to claim allowances under new legislation. The Parish Council voted to abide by the allowances determined by the Cotswold District Council. Of those entitled to claim, one Parish Councillor decided to do so.
5.   Village Maintenance which includes grass cutting, litter picking and keeping the bus shelter clean and tidy cost £11,908.24 in 2004. The increase of £2,016.64 which is approximately 16.95% can be justified through the awards gained by the village for winning the Calor Gas Village of the Year award and the Bledisloe Plate during this accounting period.
6.   £11,303.25 was paid to Fenland Leisure Products for the replacement of safety surfaces which were considered inadequate.
7.   It was necessary to rebuild the War Memorial after an attack by vandals. Through the generosity of residents who donated £4,707.10 (plus £47.52 bank interest) a profit of £785.23 was earmarked for future repair work of other ancient monuments for which the Parish Council is responsible.
8.   Annual Return The difference between box 7 and box 8 is the amount of £4,710 being the VAT repayment due.
