Notes:

1.   Bank rate reflects the reduction in interest paid on cash investments.
2.   South Cerney Cricket Club and South Cerney Football Club pay for their portion of the premium. There was a claim of £75 paid by Quinn Insurance.
3.   Residents or relatives of residents pay for memorial trees to be planted.
4.   £2,000 was received from Gloucestershire County Council which subsidised the installation of a new bus shelter. £600 was received from Gloucestershire County Council which paid for the shredder used in the community composting scheme.
5.   There was a marginal increase of 17.05% in administration expenses. There is nothing of exceptional note to record.
6.   This is a procedural increase. Subscriptions for Gloucestershire Association of Parish and Town Councils were paid twice during the period. GAPTC was late in its presentation of its account in the previous period and early in the current.
7.   A new bus shelter was installed. See note 4.
8.   The Football Club’s premium for their new pavilion was included in the account for the first time. The Football Club and the Cricket Club repay the full amount to the Parish Council. The insurance expenditure remains well within budget.
9.   Under the auspices of the Village Plan catering for youth activities the Parish Council paid Gloucestershire County Council £1,300 for the provision of youth workers in the parish.
10.   Under the provision of the Village Plan and to encourage “green” activities in the community the Parish Council granted £878.44 for the construction of composting pits.
11.   Grants were made to the South Cerney Football Club to help with the refurbishment of its dilapidated changing rooms, South Cerney Cricket Club and Cerney Lakes Tennis Club under the provisions of the Village Plan.
12.   This is an annual grant which subsidises the Village Directory and also provides a “free” page in the publication for the Parish Council to promulgate its news and views.
13.   A shredder was hired which proved not fit for purpose. A shredder was donated but the Parish Council was asked to pay for its carriage. Gloucestershire County Council gave a grant of £600 which totally covered the payment of the carriage.

Annual Return
