Notes:
| 1. |
|
Interest paid on cash investments
reflects the reduction in the bank rate. |
| 2. |
|
South Cerney Cricket Club and South
Cerney Football Club pay for their portion of the premium. |
| 3. |
|
Residents or relatives of residents pay
for memorial trees to be planted. |
| 4. |
|
£400 was received from Gloucestershire
Rural Community Council which subsidised an event titled “Get Our Way”
to encourage youngsters to become more active in village activities |
| 5. |
|
This is a procedural decrease.
Subscriptions for Gloucestershire Association of Parish and Town
Councils had been paid twice during the previous period. |
| 6. |
|
In accordance with the Local Authorities
(Members’ Allowances) (England) Regulations 2003, and the
recommendation of the independent remuneration panel of Cotswold
District Council, five members of South Cerney with Cerney Wick Parish
Council accepted the allowances for the period April 2010- March 2011 |
| 7. |
|
Village maintenance expenses increased by
16.64%. Labour to organise a composting scheme cost £648 and the use
of a shredder added a further £88 to that expense. Weather conditions
necessitated an extra grass cut by the ground maintenance contractor
at a cost of £1,345. In total these extras accounted for £2,081. |
| 8. |
|
The increase in the water bill is
accounted for by new building work which was carried out by the
Football Club that included the provision of new shower facilities.
The playing surface of the tennis courts was relaid. Work had also
been carried out on the cricket pavilion. Thames Water had for too
long sent estimated bills and when the meter was eventually read there
was a large difference between the actual and estimated account. It
proved impossible to determine which club had been responsible. |
| 9. |
|
Further to the Parish Council’s
committment to its youth and due to the withdrawal of the
Gloucestershire County Council’s youth provision, under the auspices
of the Village Plan the Parish Council continued its support of
activities and the youth workers. |
| 10. |
|
This is an annual grant which subsidises
the Village Directory and also provides a “free” page in the
publication for the Parish Council to promulgate its news and views. |
| 11. |
|
A contribution of £700 was made to
subsidise the installation of 25 metal kissing gates on public
footpaths in the parish managed by the Cotswold Water Park Society
Ltd. A grant of £200 was made from the Village Plan fund to the
Cotswold Water Park Trust to help with the promotion of the Willow
Pageant event. |
