Protect Your Own Property
Smartwater is a brand new crime prevention device to mark personal property
and register it with a specialised company or the police. A Smartwater
presentation will take place at 7.30pm on Tuesday 3rd October in the Village
Hall. Residents are encouraged to come along to the demonstration where PC
Jon Palfrey Rural Beat & Wildlife Crime Liaison Officer, David Bragg and
Andy Fogden our Cotswold Neighbourhood Watch and Community Liaison Officers

Calor Gas Village of the Year Awards
South Cerney has again starred in scooping three awards in the prestigious
Calor Gas Village of the Year Award competition. Youth Parish Councillors
Thomas Nicholas and Joe Lodge collected the £500 first prize for the Young
People category. Another £500 first prize was presented to the Parish
Council for the IT category and a runner up award in the Building Community
Life category completed the achievement. Councillors Nicholas, Stuart and
Squire represented the Parish Council at the event.
Thames Water Meeting - Rearranged Date
As Geoffrey Clifton-Brown MP is unable to attend the meeting to discuss the
progress of Thames Water’s plan for the refurbishment of the sewerage system
scheduled for October 6th it has been rearranged for Friday September 22nd
at 2pm in the Village Hall when he will chair the meeting. All invited.
