A) Summer activities at Upper Up provided by CDC/Glos Youth using finances from BL grant via Cotswold Play Partnership which is funding new Play ranger scheme starting in summer holidays. We were involved in the application working with CDC and many other agencies and organisations. Grant to Cricket Club.
B) There are now four T’ai Chi classes in village catering for different ability groups and inc one for members of the Parkinson’s disease soc. C) Parish Council supporting AFC in their attempts to rebuild pavilion and to develop their Youth teams
d) Parish Council also supports Cricket club in development of youth team plus provision of concrete base and nets to practice area.

Speed limits on Cirencester Road reduced and extended. Vehicle Activated Signs  installed at three stations in village.

Sub-committee made up of non-parish councillors to be set up ASAP. Baillie Hamilton Traffic Consultants inspected.

Continual monitoring of problems by members of the community inc Disabled Access Group. Main problems parking on pavements and speeding. VAS signs appear to have reduced speeding.

Parish Council have worked with GCC Street Lighting on scheme to reduce lighting between midnight and 5.30 am to save energy.

CDC Youth Participation Officer - Claire Dowan YPC Youth Parish Council established and working well. We won 1st Prize in the Youth Award in the Calor Gas Village of the Year competition for Gloucestershire.

GCC Youth Services and Youth Gloucestershire have set up various schemes with village youth including weekly meeting in primary school.

Tai Chi as previously mentioned. Singing for Fun (predominantly over 55 age group) 25-30 people meet weekly during winter months. First public concert held Apr 08.
